"A state of famine is usually declared when two adults or four children per 10,000 inhabitants of a given country die each day and when a third of those underage suffer from serious malnutrition. In the southern Somalia regions six persons die each day and serious malnutrition affects more than half of the children. » (Cf. el Periódico.com)

Bring forth and right our relationship with nature

The spirituality of creation is being aware of the environment, and that's everything that God created that is part of our world - the water, the plants, the air - the things that we take for granted that are natural and good.

Providence International Experience

The International Centre - Sisters of Providence, in Montreal, Canada, will receive the Sisters in Formation for the 2011 International Formation Program.

Sisters who will participate in the 2011 International Formation Program have been invited to carry out their international experiences in the different provinces of the Congregation during the year 2010 and early 2011. By living in a province other than their own, they enjoy an opportunity to know another cultural reality of the Congregation and, at the same time,  to take up the challenge of learning a second, or even a third language thus enabling them  to  live more easily in the cultural environment that welcomes them.
