The General Administration Archives gather and preserve all written and audiovisual materials dealing with the life of the Congregation of the Sisters of Providence, its members, works and ministries since its beginning in 1843.
The Archives Department includes an abundant collection of writings and photographs, which document the religious, social and political context of 19th century Montreal, where Blessed Emilie Tavernier-Gamelin lived and where the Congregation of the Sisters of Providence was born.
